Special Guest, Vocalist Tom Pickett to Join BMcG Blues Band at the Cellar Jazz Club - July 19/08 - 8:30 pm

We are really excited to have Tom Pickett join us as a featured guest at our next Cellar Jazz show.  Tom was our very special guest at the "Livin' This Way" CD release party at the Yale last November.  We had such a great time and people raved so much about the chemistry between Tom and Ruth that we've brought him back to join us for a whole show.

Tom has been singing blues and R&B for more years than he'd care to confess to.  He fronted his own band in the Vancouver club scene in the 80's and 90's, until he began to pursue a professional acting career.  After starring in many Vancouver music-theatre productions, he joined the cast of Showboat, touring with the show for 2 1/2 years.  Since leaving Showboat, Tom's become a mainstay in the Vancouver live theatre scene, featured in many Pacific Theatre productions (such as MASTER HAROLD & THE BOYS, TENT MEETING, DRIVING MISS DAISY, etc.) as well as many roles at Bard On The Beach, The Vancouver Playhouse, and other Vancouver theatres.  You can read more about Tom on his website:  www.tompickett.com.
